BIO

Regarded as “one of the top Latin American jazz singers of our time” (George Varga, San Diego Union-Tribune), award-winning international recording artist Julia Vari sings in eight different languages and has enchanted audiences around the globe for over a decade with her unique fusions of pop, jazz, world music, and Latin rhythms. Her shows range from an intimate piano-vocal one-woman show to a Big Band extravaganza, and everything in-between.
Vari’s diverse repertoire spans across both genres and decades, and her creative musical arrangements, extraordinary stage presence, and remarkable vocal agility have brought her considerable success worldwide, including five solo albums, a recent Hollywood Music in Media nomination, and performances at festivals and theaters such as Mexico City’s National Auditorium “Lunario,” Real Carlos Aranjuez Theater in Spain, National Arts Center in Ottawa, the CLAZZ International Latin Jazz Festival, and the Eclectic Music Festival in Los Angeles.
Both her second and third albums soared to the Top 5 of the Jazz-Blues charts in Latin America, competing with artists such as Michael Buble and Diana Krall, and leading Vari to share the stage and collaborate with musical icons such as GRAMMY-winning artists, engineers and producers Arturo Sandoval, Armando Manzanero, Luciana Souza, Francisco Cespedes, Negroni's Trio, Otmaro Ruíz, John Daversa, Charlie Sepúlveda, Harry Aponte, Oscar Zambrano, Oscar Autie, and Robert Hadley.
Currently based in Miami, Vari is a voting member of the GRAMMY Recording Academy, BMI songwriter, William Morris Endeavor voiceover artist, and a headliner/Guest Entertainer on luxury cruise lines.
